Ugh…it was confirmed after my chest x-ray yesterday.

No wonder I’m feeling worse than I can ever remember feeling. Sure, I’ve been sick before. But other than some 24 hour bug, I can’t remember the last time I was “sick” sick like this.

I’ve also never had such an incredibly painful cough! The cough has been the worst part so far. Nothing I have tried has really given me any relief from it. And…well…it’s been a little bit gross to see what’s coming up, too (sorry).

The cough and the continual fever were what made me finally send an email to my doctor. I’m glad I did. She said usually with just a cold, you start out with a fever but it diminishes over 3-4 days. A sign that it’s more than a cold is when the fever continues – I started feeling this bug a week ago yesterday.

So, I started the antibiotics yesterday. I have them for 10 days. I’m not big on taking antibiotics, but truly I can’t remember taking them any other time in my adult life. AND anything that’s going to help me feel better is welcome at this point.

I knew it was getting bad when I realized I wasn’t even worried anymore about all the things I wasn’t getting done….not a good sign for me. I was simply incapable of doing anything more than lying on the couch sleeping.

Luckily, I have a professional “relaxer” to guide me on my way to wellness:

Bubba professional relaxer

I think he believes I’m finally getting the meaning of life – or well the meaning of his life.

Rest, recover, relax.

Thanks Dr. Bubba, I’m on it.

  2. Take some probiotics with the antibiotics, it’s crucial! At least on per day to recover the good bacteria antibiotics kill. And feel better sooner! :)
