Fall is here

And just like that it’s FALL!

The weather has changed so fast! I’m not complaining mind you as I just love Fall!

We’ve already had our first rains – yahoo no more watering the garden for a few months! It’s getting darker earlier and there’s a definite chill in the air. It’s time to pull out the tights and sweaters and UGGS – oh how I love this season!

I’m ready for everything pumpkin flavored right now!!! My new favorite drink at the moment is a soy chai with pumpkin spice syrup squirted in – YUM!!

It’s so true that as you get older time moves more quickly. It seems like I was just planting my summer vegetables and already I’ve pulled them up out of the yard, preparing for winter.

It seems strange to be planning our vacations for this time of year, but who ever said we weren’t strange around here?!?

We’re off to Orlando in a few weeks – the whole crew is going – well, minus Mimi who has classes and Bubba who is truly more happy just staying close to his homestead. I’m really looking forward to taking the boys to see all the magic of Disney.

Yes, I am one of those people who just loves, loves, loves Disney World!! I love being around all that creativity and vision and letting my imagination run wild. After my family moved to Kissimmee (following my Junior High grades) and going there every single weekend for years – even having my first job there in High School -I still haven’t gotten enough.

I know initially I’m going to be that big weepy crybaby when we first arrive. Just being there as my Grandsons get to experience it all for the first time will bring tears of joy to my eyes – I was like that with my daughters, too. I am so excited to be there for their first trip to this magical place.

After spending a week there, then heading home for the Thanksgiving holiday, Pops and I are off to tour Thailand and Cambodia.

I never imagined I’d want to explore this part of the world, but after seeing some fabulous photographs from the regions we’ll be visiting, I couldn’t wait to book a trip!

Have you noticed I’ve gotten a bit more into photography lately? I feel like I can completely lose myself when taking photos. Never mind the hours I can spend playing in Lightroom and Photoshop!

This might mean a slight shift here in this blog world…hopefully a fun, entertaining shift for all you fabulous readers!

Never fear though, I’ll still be sharing my favorite vegan recipes and products and, of course any green tips and ideas I find.

How about a quick vegan treat right now?

Really, right this moment I opened the latest Conscious Box I received and devoured daintily ate this delicious Angell organic candy bar!

It was simply “heavenly” and no, that’s not a tag line on the packaging (their tag line is actually “eat no evil”). Think about dark chocolate with a rich cocoa and almond center. Vegan, certified organic, no artificial colors or flavors, non-GMO, no preservatives, no corn syrup and Og trans fat…why oh why is there only one of these in this box?!? (probably to save me from myself!)

I also love that the company is part of 1% for the Planet! Check out the Angell site for where to buy these delicious bars!

Have you tried any yummy vegan treats lately??? If so, please share.

I’ve got a bunch of other new goodies to share with you soon and a super tasty eggplant recipe from my good friend Nancy coming soon too!!

Happy Fall Friday everyone,

Lita
