well, at least for this week, I’m going to mix it up a bit around here.

So, I know it’s “Green Tip Tuesday” just like I knew yesterday was “Meatless Monday”, but since I didn’t follow through on yesterday, I say, why should I today???

Instead, I’m just going to ramble…and through this rambling maybe get some clarity on all the chaos roaming around in my head.

I’ll start with some updates:

First, and I only list this first because it’s first and foremost on my mind at the moment, Hunter just lost his first tooth!

You can already see the new one working it's way up

Pops and I are heading over there for dinner tonight, so I’ll get more of the scoop on how it happened then. When Hunter called me this morning, he did say that when they got to school today, Libby saw that it was loose and she just pulled it right out. Of course, he called Libby “mommy” when he told this to me. He was super excited and shared his new knowledge about when he put the tooth under his pillow tonight the tooth fairy would come. Then she would take his tooth and leave him a quarter for his piggy bank.

As a side note, I LOVE that he’s excited about receiving a quarter and isn’t so spoiled that 25 cents doesn’t mean anything. AND I LOVE that he wants to save that money in his piggy bank. It may have nothing to do with the fact that Libby manages a bank, but she’s done a great job teaching those boys the value of money and especially the value of saving.

Heading over to the kids house has taken on a whole new meaning after we spent last Saturday night there playing Glee on the Wii.

Have you tried this game?

oh.my.GOSH!

It is so much fun! Pops (Mr. non-video gamer) has been converted! He had so much fun that I think I must get a copy for our house so we can practice. I’m gonna be honest here, he was kind of a microphone HOG the other night….but it was so very fun to watch him. (AND he can sing really, really good – whereas, I need some serious help!)

Other random thoughts floating around in my brain include the fact that we’re heading to Ft. Worth, Texas on Thursday to spend a few days with Pop’s mother and sister. While I’m trying not to completely pre-plan the whole stay, I do definitely hope to get to Sam Moon to pick up some goodies to giveaway during my Blog Birthday Week (coming up beginning January 24th…more details to follow). I hope you’ll all stop by that week as I’ll be trying to make up for being such a giveaway slacker the last few months.

Having a trip that takes me away from work for 4 days means that it’s been absolutely madness here at the office. Luckily nothing I do is life-or-death, but sometimes the panic I see on my co-workers faces when I announce I’ll be out a few days makes me feel like it. Being the “people pleaser” that I am, I can’t help but get stressed and basically wacky right before any trip.

Thinking of the Wii reminds me to update you a bit on my New Years Resolutions. Remember #2 “Make it to the Gym at least twice a week”? Well, I’ve been making it there 3 times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Yes, I know it’s only week 2 of the new year, but I ‘ll take all the pats on the back that I can get. Anyways, I’m now going to be adding at least 2 days of Wii Fit Plus to my exercise routine – Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Which, I believe, also sticks with my resolutions to have more fun.

Hey, you know what, I was just thinking, this week’s blog mix up schedule also fills the fun category…yahoo!! (more little pats)

I leave you today with an image and a little teaser of a story I’ll be sharing with you very soon about a very special calendar I received for Christmas:
