The boys, Mimi and I had a BLAST at the GapKids store this past Saturday for Shine On Saturdays!!

Right as we entered the store the boys were captivated with all the art supplies laid out on display – especially all the FUN paper colors and designs!

It took zero motivation at all to get them excited about making their own journals!

After picking their papers, they got straight to work!!

Journal making is ‘very’ serious business!

They even had some finished journals on view to provide inspiration:

After the journals were all folded and taped, it’s time to decorate:

In no time at all, we had AWESOME, personalized journals!

Thanks Gap, the boys and I had a lot of FUN!

I’d also like to thank the creator of this series of special art projects Merrilee Liddiard of Mer Mag. I love that an almost 4 year-old and a 7 year-old could both enjoying creating together!

If you weren’t able to make it to this event in Los Gatos last weekend, you have another chance this Saturday, August 25th from 10AM – 1PM at the GapKids at Broadway Plaza, 1139 S. Main Street in Walnut Creek! If you go with your kids, please share how it went!
