Happy Labor Day everyone!
Aaahh how nice to have an extra “weekend” day. Today we’re having the kids over later for dinner and I’m making a vegan lasagna (which I will share photos and details of later).
I used to make lasagna a lot, but haven’t in a while and this time instead of hunting down the vegan ricotta cheese I’ve used in the past, I used a tofu mixture – I’ll let you know how that goes.
To be sure to share a vegan tidbit today for Vegan MoFo, here’s a little dish I LOVED from this super cool little cafe in Santa Barbara.

Yes, those are vegan bacon bits there on the upper right-hand side. I should’ve asked them to leave them off since I’m not a big fan, but it was a nice option to have.
The place I tried this is called The Natural Cafe:
Apparently, they have a few locations in central California – here’s to hoping they open some up here in Northern Cal!
