Christmas Parade

There's one thing the little town I live in does big...

CHRISTMAS!

It began last night with the annual town center tree lighting and caroling. After which we started a new tradition at our house of having friends over for homemade soup. I made the potato soup from the recipe I posted a few weeks ago, and it was the perfect way to warm up on a chilly winter evening.

Today, was our town's annual Christmas parade

It really is a big deal here and lasts for more than 2 hours. School bands, troops, restaurants and businesses come from all around to be in it. It is somewhat of a dress-rehearsal for the bigger, televised City of San Jose parade that is held tomorrow.
