Staying in the Valley of the Gods

Valley of the GodsAfter our Petroglyph hike and our visit to Goosenecks, we had some time to relax at The Valley of the Gods B&B, so I took a moment to snap a few photos of the glorious afternoon.Valley of the GodsThe lighting and the colors are just so intense and magnificent.Valley of the GodsSince our friends Kimberly and Eddied camped in the valley not far from the B&B Pops and I stayed at, we were able to join them at their camp site for an evening of delicious food and more stunning views:Valley of the GodsValley of the GodsValley of the Gods(oh and of course, cocktails!).Valley of the GodsI love the lighting as the shadows start to get longer.Valley of the GodsAnd you can see a little weather starting to move through the valley...Valley of the GodsValley of the Gods eve-9And then the sun started to set showering us in color.Valley of the GodsFrom both directions, the lighting was stunning.Valley of the GodsWe had to eat inside the camper as the weather moved through - so nice and cozy as the wind was howling.Valley of the GodsWe said good-bye to Kimberly and Eddie as we would be continuing on our way with vacation and they would be returning back to Moab the next day.Valley of the GodsIt was a bit of a sad good-bye, even though we know we'll be returning to Utah again for another visit!The valley was just so peaceful and quiet as we headed back to the B&B - I love that sort of intense silence.litasign
