The Light Between Oceans Movie Review
This movie tells a timeless love story about the moral drama of the truth and secrets couples keep within their relationships. Honestly, my emotions were all over the place while watching this heartbreaking story unfold. And my heart did break while watching this film - not just for a single character but for all of them throughout the story.
Acting Perfection
The cast stars two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender, Oscar winner Alicia Vikander and Oscar and Golden Globe winner Rachel Weisz. The emotional and passionate journey these fine actors take you on is everything you can hope for in an old-fashioned love story of a simpler time gone by. I say simpler in respect to the lack of the technology present in the time period of this movie, though, the intensity of the moral decisions presented in this film make this movie a timeless and complex tale.
The Light Between Oceans Beauty
The movie was shot on a remote edge of Western Australia, and, I must say, the scenery is absolutely stunning. A lot of the scenes are so dreamy you’ll want to pack up your life and fly away to live in a remote location with your loved ones.
I’m not going to share any more insights into the film except to say when you see this movie, be prepared to have your heart stolen by the most adorable little actress, Florence Clery. She is absolutely precious!
