chickenless nuggets and meatless meatballs

Here are my two food “loves” this week. First, we have:

Gardein Breaded Crispy Tenders

Gardein Crispy tendersThese are so yummy and cook up very quickly in even a toaster oven. I know this because I usually have a package (or two) in the freezer at the office. I like them on and within a salad. I cook them, cut them up and then top a tasty salad with them. It makes me hungry right now just thinking about them. They’re so good, that I do believe as the package says that even kids love them and would eat them up.

A couple of weeks ago, I had another Gardein recommendation on here – the stuffed turkey by Gardein. I love this company and so far haven’t found an item of theirs that I don’t like and wouldn’t recommend. For more information, please check out the Gardein site.

My second item this week is:

Trader Joe’s Meatless Meatballs

Trader Joes meatless Meatballs

These are my go-to vegan meatballs. They’re tasty in a pasta sauce over pasta and even in a “meatball” sandwich as shown above. They really hold together nicely no matter how you serve them.

BONUS – 6 meatballs contain only 140 calories! Yes, you did read that correctly. That leaves you lots of caloric room per meal to top them with sauce, vegan cheese, etc.

Pretty great deal, huh?!

For a list of other “vegan” foods at Trader Joe’s, check out their Vegan Product List. I love them, because they just make it so easy!

As always, let me know if you try any of these items and share what you think. Also, as always, please share with me any vegan products you’ve found that you love too.

P.S. I am not being compensated in any way by any of the companies or products listed above. Just sharing…it’s what I do. ~ Lita
