hydrangeas

This is a reminder to myself (a reminder I need quite often) – STAY PRESENT!

It is in this present moment that we live…really live.

I’m not saying it’s not okay to dream about the future or reminisce about the past, but I often need to be called right back to this moment and count my blessings.

What is this moment for me right now?

It’s a cool morning with my first pumpkin loaf of the season baking in the oven. OH it smells so good!

It’s looking over at my hubby as he does his morning reading and realizing I’m so lucky to be in this marriage with a man who is my best friend – someone who makes me laugh like no one else can.

It’s being grateful for my health and the health of my daughters, grandsons, mother, nephew, Godchildren and all my family and friends.

It’s feeling all that light inside me right now and enjoying the peace and contentment that brings into my being.

In the near future (as in about 1/2 an hour) we’ll be enjoying a Fall hike through our town with 2 good friends and a couple hours after that I’ll be “hanging” with my bestie preparing for another Halloween of Thriller and zombies and laughter and fun.

Though that’s coming up in the future, right now at this moment I’m able to be happy and excited about the day to come.

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Fall morning! And I hope you can all take a moment to be present and count the blessings in your life.

Feel free to share your joys in the comments below, I’d love to share in them with you.

Happy Sunday,

p.s. the photo above is hydrangeas I dried this year from my garden…I LOVE them!!
