It’s Wednesday, so it’s photo day – though this one won’t be very “Wordless Wednesday”.
Today, I’m heading back to the fun we had on our England tour and our stop at Yew Tree Farm.
Yew Tree Farm is located in the beautiful Lakes District and was previously owned by Beatrix Potter! In fact, because her actual “Hill Top” farm is somewhat difficult to get to, when they needed to film there for the movie “Miss Potter” they used Yew Tree farm instead.
The farmhouse actually still contains many of her furnishings and in my opinion is simply a precious place to visit!
Currently there is a couple renting and running the farm – yes, it’s an actual working farm. Our host, Caroline, was so generous in inviting our tour group to stop and even asked us in for some of her homemade scones and tea – YUM!
The weather was a bit drizzly during our visit, but that didn’t stop me much from roaming around to get some photos.
Of course, there are animals on this farm – but since this is a vegan blog, I won’t focus on why they’re here. I’d rather just enjoy how cute they are.
and here is Mr. Tuffy…who was happy to escort us all back on to our tour bus:
If you ever get a chance to visit Yew Tree Farm (or better yet, stay there), I would highly recommend it. The whole Lakes District is quite beautiful!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
