Day 3 of the tour and we’re off to the English county of Wiltshire to visit Stonehenge!
Luckily, we are here a day before the Summer Solstice as the site will be closed to the general public this day when 10-15 thousand people typically arrive to celebrate.
We did, in fact, see much more than Stonehenge on day 3 of our tour, but as I was having fun playing with the photographs of this ancient site I thought I’d just include this stop in this post.
As you can see, we arrived on a lovely English day – the countryside was just gorgeous.
This ancient site lends itself so well to taking all sorts of dramatic photos.
And, fun photos too!
Check out my Lita’s World Stonehenge Flickr set for more photos of this stop.
Next ancient Heritage site stop…the City of Bath.

Great pics! I’m so fascinated by Stonehenge. It’s so mystical (at least in my imagination :) ).
Oh I know what you mean about Stonehenge!! We were hearing so much about the history of England and Medieval times and then visiting these stones really got my imagination going. My dreams that night were so fantastic!!
