Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I know I’ve been a bit MIA lately…off traveling actually and then, well, working…but I’m back and I have so much to share and to be thankful for.

First of all, if you’re actually reading this post…well I’m SOOOO thankful for you. I am just filled with:

Gratitude

YOU are why I blog…sharing is what I love to do..sharing ideas, foods, crafts, photographs, travels…anything that moves me really.

Sharing through this medium (and other social media outlets) is what brings my creative soul to life and I’m grateful for any support I receive to continue on this path.

What a year…what a lovely, trying, beautiful, exhausting, renewing and life-filled year this has been.

I have no complaints…truly…I am so very blessed and am grateful for this as I have had hard emotional times when I haven’t felt so.

I tend to lean towards optimism and my mantra for the future is to share this attitude, way of being, life affirmation. I know it’s not in everyone to be optimistic, but I think most can appreciate those of us who are. And it helps to also be silly at times.

It’s not about having a perfect life, but it’s about focusing on the positive, giving way for life to happen and for others to just be human and to somehow accept the beauty of it all.

We don’t have to all agree on everything. In fact, I don’t see how life would be exciting if we did.

Keeping it simple seems to help…on our recent trip to Spain and Portugal the quote of the trip was “hit the easy button”.

WOW does it make a difference if I keep things simple in my life.

It does mean being open to a lot of questioning – do I “need” this, do I “need” to DO that, etc.

You have to live with purpose, but in a relaxed state of being – if that makes sense.

I’m certainly not saying I’m a pro…at anything actually… but I strive to be open and accepting, caring and forgiving.

AND today THANKFUL!

Thankful to all who have blessed my life…my husband, my mom, my daughters, my grandsons, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, my Godchildren, my extended family, my friends, my co-workers, and all those…even the baristas (well, especially them) who give something to not just my life, but to life in general.

AND before I forget, and so he’s not insulted, I’m grateful for the love of this precious Frenchie who is just perfection to me. (and that’s the silliness I was speaking of above)

Bubba the Frenchie

Everything Bubba…complete perfection…

Blessings to you and your family this Happy Thanksgiving 2014!
